Jazz Aberdeen is a not for profit charitable organisation whose aim is to promote jazz in Aberdeen through regular live jazz performances involving both visiting international artists and local musicians through the bi-annual Aberdeen International Jazz Festival.

MORAY SPIRIT OF BRASS

Moray Spirit Of Brass is a bi-annual festival that brings together all aspects of brass from classical and brass band to jazz and swing.

MORAY SWING BAND

Moray Swing Band is a community based band based in Elgin, with members from all over Moray and Aberdeenshire, including Moray Jazz Club member Ted Parkin on alto sax.

DAVE MILLIGAN

Pianist Dave Milligan played at Moray Jazz Club in 2009 as part of A Funny Valentine.  In a professional career spanning more than fifteen years he has performed throughout Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Asia.

NESS RIVER RHYTHM KINGS

The Ness River Rhythmn Kings are based in Inverness and play a mixture of jazz from the 1920's and 1930's and they have played at Moray Jazz Club on several occasions.

PARTIKEL

Partikel are three London based musicians all with very different musical backgrounds: Duncan Eagles - saxes, Max Luthert - double bass and Eric Ford - drums.

Their aim is to put an interesting twist on the standard jazz format but still honouring the tradition of deep harmony, creative improvisation and interaction.

They played at Moray Jazz Club in 2011 in support of their album Cohesion.

ROOTY MA TOOT BIG BAND

Formed in 2000, RMT BIG BAND has, over the years, included many of the top musicians around Inverness.

COLIN STEELE

Trumpeter Colin Steele played at Moray Jazz Club in 2009 as part of A Funny Valentine.  Since the release of his debut album in 2002 he has won just about every UK jazz plaudit there is.

ANDREA TURNER

Andrea studied music at Stevenson college, Edinburgh  and with members of Scottish Opera, she has also trained in vocal jazz with Fionna Duncan, Sophie Bancroft, Sheila Jordan and Mark Murphy amongst others .  She has performed throughout Scotland both as a solo performer and also within world music choirs.  She has sung at Moray Jazz Club several times.
